DARTFORD v ALFRETON TOWN MATCH PREVIEW
Thursday Mar 12, 2015
SATURDAY, MARCH 14th, 3pm
By James Aspinall
Alfreton Town continue their battle for safety in the Vanarama Conference as they travel to Kent to face fellow strugglers Dartford on Saturday.
The Reds will be looking to pick up their first ever points at Princes Park having lost 5-1 and 1-0 on both of their only two other visits there.
Manager Nicky Law's will be without on-loan defender Aaron Bentley, who is out with a 'deadleg', whilst the Reds' boss will have to wait for a later fitness test for Bradley Wood, who was forced off with an injury to his shinbone and ankle during the 2-0 victory against Kidderminster at the weekend. The latest diagnosis is that Wood has an outside chance of making the game as the shin injury is not as bad as first feared.
This match is of great importance and another critical relegation six-pointer.
A win for the Reds will bring them closer to survival and further from the drop-zone. However, a loss will only drag them back into the relegation scrap at the start of the business end of the season.
Elliot Bradbrook is the main threat for the home side, having bagged eight goals this season.
Having won back-to-back games and climbed out of the bottom four, Reds boss Law will be looking for his side to continue their recent run of form, and push on in order to remain in the Vanarama Conference next season.

Whilst Alfreton have recently enjoyed success on the pitch, the news of securing the freehold purchase of the Impact Arena has given the club a welcome boost. With that in mind, a victory on Saturday over Dartford would bring to end a great week for the club.
