DAN LOWSON RECALLED

DAN LOWSON RECALLED

Wednesday Jan 11, 2012

ALFRETON Town have recalled goalkeeper Dan Lowson from his loan spell with Ilkeston FC.

Reds boss Nicky Law has utilised a 24-hour call back facility built into the loan deal to bring 23-year-old Lowson back in time for this Saturday's FA Carlsberg Trophy second round tie at Weymouth.

Dan joined Evo-Stik First Division South high-flyers Ilkeston on December 19 and was scheduled to stay at the New Manor Ground until January 21st, 2012, before Joe Day sustained a groin injury during the first half of last Saturday's Blue Square Bet Premier Division home game against Grimsby Town which is expected to keep him sidelined for around a month.

Lowson has made 19 appearances for the Reds already this season, 13 in the league and three in cup ties including the FA Cup fourth qualifying round tie and replay victory over Lincoln City.
