CAMBRIDGE UNITED 3, ALFRETON TOWN 0

Saturday Oct 15, 2011

ALFRETON Town went down 3-0 on Saturday as Cambridge United exacted revenge for last season's FA Trophy replay win at the R Costings Abbey Stadium.

A collective off-day by the Reds was punished when Luke Berry headed the U's in front on 29 minutes and a brace of goals from Harrison Dunk either side of the interval on 41 and 52 minutes.

The defeat was a fifth in a row away from home and means the Reds are now without a win in their last six league games.

The attendance was 2,741 and goalkeeper Joe Day was the Reds man of the match.

Alfreton return to the Impact Arena on Tuesday night when they face second-placed Fleetwood Town in Blue Square Bet Premier Division action. Kick-off is 7.45pm.
