REDS BOUNCE BACK IN STYLE

Alfreton Town bounced back to winning ways in style with a 3-0 victory and a rare clean sheet at Cambridge United on Tuesday night.

After a goalless first half in which Liam Hughes hit the post for Cambridge, Leigh Franks headed the Reds in front on 52 minutes to finish a Josh Law cross.

Nathan Arnold's 20-yard strike doubled the lead shortly before full-time and Paul Clayton added a third in stoppage time with a close-range finish.

The Reds are back in action on Saturday when they entertain eighth-placed Macclesfield Town in a tasty-looking Blue Square Bet Premier Division fixture at the Impact Arena.

Kick-off is 3pm.
