REDS EFFORTS GAIN A POINT

Alfreton Town got their 2015/16 Vanarama National League North campaign under way with a point from a 2-2 draw at Bradford Park Avenue on the opening day on Saturday.
But the Reds certainly had to do it the hard way, coming from two goals down after Michael Potts netted on 18 and 32 minutes for the hosts, having two defenders sent off before the nine men stuck to the task right to the very end which was rewarded by a point when Joe Ironside netted from the penalty spot deep into injury time.
Man of the match Andi Thanoj had the honour of netting the Reds' first goal on 64 minutes, his superb free-ick strike reducing the arrears.
Manager Nicky Law had to make a change just before kick-off when captain Dan Bradley suffered a minor hamstring injury, he being replaced by Ryan Wilson who became one of seven debutants for the club.
As tempers flared after the game Dan Bradley was allegedly also shown a red card by the match official along with Avenue's Luke Dean.
