Fleetwood Town manager Micky Mellon has extended his ‘Movember' commitment to facial hair by continuing to display a moustache until The Cod Army lose their next game.
The Blue Square Bet Premier favourites have 19 points from their last 21 available in a seven game unbeaten league run but have a blank midweek due to Barrow's county cup commitments.
That gives second favourites Wrexham the chance to go three points clear at the top of the table with a home win over Southport. After their fantastic FA Cup win at Brentford on Saturday, Andy Morrell's team are the 4/6 favourites to put an end to Southport's stunning away sequence.
he Sandgrounders have won their last eight away matches, to set a new club record, as they have climbed to third in the table. Liam Watson's team are priced at 19/5 to extend the record to nine and take a step closer to the Conference record held by Scarborough which stands at 13.
York City consolidated fourth place in the table with a crushing 7-0 home win over Kettering Town at the weekend. That took their goal-difference to +27, five better than any other side in the division. The Minstermen have only conceded one goal in their last five league games as their clean-sheet record gets back to something like what we'd expect from recent seasons. Gary Mills' team are the 10/11 favourites for their trip to AFC Telford United on Tuesday. The home team are priced at 5/2 to complete a double over York after their 1-0 win at Bootham Crescent earlier in the season.
Three consecutive league draws have caused Cambridge United to lose some ground on the top four. The U's have a trip to Kent to face Ebbsfleet United where they are priced as the 6/5 favourites to gain three points. Liam Daish's Fleet have just five points from a possible 36 against teams in the top half so far this season and are consequently priced as the 15/8 outsiders.
Luton Town bowed out of the FA Cup on Saturday as they were beaten at home by Cheltenham Town. Their league form has been inconsistent of late and that sees them nine points off the lead as we approach the halfway point of the season. The Hatters have not won back-to-back league games since the first week of October and now face a trip to Lincoln City where they can complete a double over The Imps. Lincoln are unbeaten in their last three home games but in the same period have lost four straight away matches without scoring a goal. A third straight home win is priced at 9/4 with Luton Town making plenty of appeal at a price of Evens.
Gateshead were another club to exit the FA Cup on Saturday. Ian Bogie's team travel to Stockport on Tuesday with a run of four draws in the league on top of that cup defeat. After Stockport's drop into the relegation zone with four defeats on the bounce an away win is favoured here at 11/10. The home side are 2/1 to get their first victory under Jim Gannon.
Consistency has not been a strong point for Mansfield Town since a five game winning league streak earlier in the season. A 4-1 victory over Braintree Town at the weekend got them on the right track but Paul Cox will be urging his team to back that up with a win at Grimsby Town at odds of 9/5. Grimsby are the 5/4 home favourites as they average over 2.5 goals per game at their Blundell Park base. Kidderminster Harriers are priced as short as 8/13 for the visit of bottom club Bath City. The Romans registered what was just their second win of the season at home to Telford on Saturday and can climb off the bottom for the first time since August if they avoid defeat at Harriers and Alfreton lose at home to Newport County.
Alfreton have lost nine of their last 12 league matches and you'd have to fancy a resurgent Newport to gain a positive result there at a price of 6/5.
Forest Green Rovers are unbeaten in their last seven league games and are just five points off a play-off place. Their mega-rich owner Dale Vince may be tempted to invest in a promotion push in the January transfer window if they can keep in touch with the top five. They can continue that pace with a home win over Tamworth at a price of 8/11. The visitors won at Gateshead in the FA Cup on Saturday to set up a thrilling tie at Everton in the Third Round. Marcus Law's team are priced at 10/3 for a second away success in four days.
Elsewhere Darlington are the strong 1/4 favourites to win away at Kettering Town. With just one league win in their last 11 matches Braintree Town have slumped from second in the table to 14th. A home game with struggling Hayes & Yeading United sees them figure as the 4/6 favourites to get back to winning ways. The visitors have lost six of their last seven games conceding over three goals every 90 minutes in the process.
