ALFRETON TOWN v TORQUAY UNITED PREVIEW
Thursday Oct 9, 2014
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 11th, 5.30pm
Alfreton Town are back in Vanarama Conference action on Saturday when they take on high-flying Torquay United in front of the BT Sport television cameras.
Due to the game being televised live, there is a later than usual kick-off time at the Impact Arena of 5.30pm.
Alfreton manager Nicky Law will be looking for his side to end a four-game losing streak during which they have not registered a goal.
Law is expecting to have defender Jordan Keane available despite having stitches in a head wound during the 2-0 midweek defeat at Gateshead.
Definitely missing are midfield men Nathan Hicks and Andi Thanoj, both long-term injury casualties and there are doubts over central defender Chris Smith who has a broken finger and midfield man David Mellor who has a minor back injury which will need a late fitness check.
Torquay United were relegated from Sky Bet League Two last season but have adapted well to Vanarama Conference life and are currently sat in fifth place in the table five points behind leaders Barnet but with a game in hand.
On their travels so far, the Gulls have won three times, drawn once - a goalless scoreline at Dartford, and lost three times.
The wins were at Lincoln City (3-1), Chester (2-0) and Grimsby Town (2-0).
Defeats have been tasted at Gateshead (3-1) on the opening day of the season, 4-3 at AFC Telford United and 2-1 at Forest Green Rovers.
United's last outing was last Saturday when they came from behind to defeat Wrexham 2-1 at Plainmoor.
Segregation is in place for this fixture and all Torquay United fans are kindly requested to enter the Impact Arena stadium via the Alma Street turnstiles only.
Catering and toilet facilities as well as match day programmes are available in the away section of the ground.
Ordinary admission at the turnstile on the day of the game is £18 for adults and £12 for concessions (over-65s).
Under-16s is just £2 per child so long as they are accompanied by a paying adult.
Alternatively, Early Bird Match Tickets and Group Saver Match Tickets both offer discounted admission if ordered prior to the match.
Early Bird Match Tickets for adults and senior concessions priced at £16 and £11 respectively can be purchased between Monday and Friday by contacting the Administration Office on 01159 392090 extension 107 between 9am and 2.45pm or via email at email@example.com
Early Bird Match Tickets ordered by visiting fans via the Ticket Office via telephone can be collected from the Alma Street turnstiles on the day of the match.
No Early Bird Match Tickets are available on the day of the match.
Group Saver Match Tickets for adults and senior concessions require a total of five or more supporters per ticket in order to be eligible for purchase and to take advantage of these excellent rates, but these can be a mixture of adults at the lower price of £15 each and over-65's at just £10 each.
