ALFRETON TOWN v TAMWORTH PREVIEW
Monday Mar 25, 2013
Alfreton Town are scheduled to return to Blue Square Bet Premier Division action on Tuesday night when Tamworth are the visitors to the Impact Arena for a fixture which kicks-off at 7.45pm.
Assuming all the best laid pitch clearing plans go to plan, Reds manager Nicky Law will have a full strength squad to choose from with the exception of goalkeeper Phil Barnes who is continuing his recovery from a ruptured thigh muscle.
Skipper Darran Kempson is available again as Alfreton face the first of three games in five days and four in seven up to and over the Easter period (weather permitting!).
In the first clash of the season between the sides just over a fortnight ago, the points were shared in a 1-1 draw at The Lamb on Saturday, March 9th. Louie Soares's first goal for the Reds on 29 minutes was cancelled out by Darren Bayfield on 65.
Since then, Alfreton have won successive home games, indeed, they have now won their last three on home turf and are unbeaten in five league games.
Tamworth arrive in 14th place, one place better off than the Reds but it is only by the margin of one goal and they have played a game more.
Both sides will be seeking the victory which will all but ensure another season in the Conference Premier Division.
Tamworth have only won one of their last six league games but are unbeaten in their last two outings, a very creditable goalless draw at Luton Town last Saturday being preceded by a 2-1 home win over Southport.
There is no segregation in place for the Tamworth league fixture but all visiting fans are requested to enter the stadium via the away turnstiles at the Alma Street end of the Impact Arena only.
Admission on the day at the turnstyle is £18 for adults and £12 for concessions (U16s, Over-65s and students upon production of a student card).
Early Bird Match Tickets are no longer available for this fixture.
Some covered seating, covered standing area, food outlet and toilets are all available at the away end of the ground. The match day programme is priced at £3 each.
