ALFRETON TOWN v STOCKPORT COUNTY PREVIEW
Friday Apr 5, 2013
Alfreton Town face another relegation six-pointer on Saturday when fourth-from-bottom Stockport County are the visitors to the Impact Arena (3pm).
Reds manager Nicky Law has goalkeeper Phil Barnes available again after injury but son Josh is again missing through a thigh injury. There are no other injury worries but left back Connor Franklin sits the game out as he serves the second of a three-match suspension.
Law will be looking for his side to build on Easter Monday's 2-0 win at Southport with the knowledge that possibly one more win from the five remaining games could secure a third season's Conference Premier Division status for the club, particularly with other clubs in the bottom ten facing each other where points will be dropped, and other rivals having very tough-looking games against sides at the top end of the table.
Stockport arrive in 21st place, two points away from safety and with only four games left.
A recent slump in form led to them changing managers a fortnight ago with former Gateshead manager Ian Bogie taking over from Darije Kalezic.
County will be looking for a first win in three league games having gone down 2-1 against Grimsby Town and drawn 1-1 with Macclesfield Town in their last two outings.
On the road so far this season, Stockport have won four times, drawn four and lost the other eight.
The Hatters will be without Andy Halls, who serves the first of a three-match suspension following a red card against Grimsby Town on Easter Monday.
In the first game of the season between the sides on the opening day of the campaign, Stockport took all three points from a narrow 1-0 win, Danny Hattersley's 35th minute header proving decisive.
Segregation will be in place for the Stockport County league fixture on Saturday and all visiting fans are requested to enter the stadium via the away turnstiles at the Alma Street end of the Impact Arena only.
Admission on the day at the turnstile is £18 for adults and £12 for concessions (U16s, Over-65s and students upon production of a student card).
The deadline for Early Bird Match Tickets has now expired and these are not available on the day of the match.
Some covered seating, covered standing area, food outlet and toilets are all available at the away end of the ground. The match day programme is priced at £3 each.
