ALFRETON TOWN v STOCKPORT COUNTY MATCH PREVIEW

ALFRETON TOWN v STOCKPORT COUNTY MATCH PREVIEW

Friday Apr 22, 2016

SATURDAY, APRIL 23rd, 3pm

Alfreton Town play their final Vanarama National League North home game of the 2015/16 season on Saturday when Stockport County are the visitors to the Impact Arena.

Reds manager Nicky Law will be looking for his side to extend their five-game unbeaten run and hopefully Alfreton can sign off at home with a second successive victory at the Impact Arena.

Stockport are unbeaten in their last two outings and in their last fixture were held to a 2-2 draw at home by relegated Corby Town last Saturday. Prior to that they had recorded a fine 3-2 win at Worcester City.

On the road this season, the Hatters have a good record with just five defeats in 20 games. Jim Gannon's side have won eight times and drawn seven and County have a better points haul away than on home turf with 31 of their 55 points being picked up on the road.

The first game of the season between the sides saw Stockport took the spoils with a narrow 1-0 victory in front of 2,839 at Edgeley Park way back on September 19th thanks to a third minute Ryan Ellison goal.

Following the game, fans will be able to watch the presentation of the ATFC Supporters' Association Player of the Season Award which will be made on the pitch.
