Alfreton go into the fixture full of confidence after recording three successive league wins and they will be looking for their tenth home win of the campaign to cement themselves in the play-off places.
against a Southport side who are hovering two places and two points above the relegation places.
Reds manager Nicky Law will need a late fitness check on central midfield man John McGrath who suffered swelling to a knee in the 3-2 Boxing Day win at Wrexham but Josh Law is still out through injury.
Central defender Nick Fenton is available again after serving a one-match suspension.
Southport arrive hovering two points and two places above the relegation places but having drawn their last two league games which halted a run of four successive defeats. They have struggled on their travels so far though, just one win and two draws from twelve games on the road.
