ALFRETON TOWN v MACCLESFIELD TOWN PREVIEW

ALFRETON TOWN v MACCLESFIELD TOWN PREVIEW

Thursday Dec 18, 2014

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 20th, 3pm

Alfreton Town return to Vanarama Conference action on Saturday when third-placed Macclesfield Town provide attractive and difficult opposition at the Impact Arena.

Reds manager Nicky Law has no new injury worries and no suspensions to contend with for what looks likely to be another extremely tough league fixture against yet another in-form side although 'Macc' have only scored ten times in twelve away games so far this season.

Macclesfield have a fully fit squad available, but, allied to other results, an Alfreton win could seem them exit the bottom four as they look to build on their last two league results which have both brought three points.

The Silkmen were  in second place in the table until Bristol Rovers beat Gateshead 3-2 at home on Friday night to knock them down one place, but Saturday's visitors are very much in form with just one defeat in their last eight league outings.

On the road so far this season Macc have had very mixed fortunes having won three, drawn five and lost four.

In their latest outing, Macclesfield won 1-0 at Aldershot Town last Saturday.
