ALFRETON TOWN v KETTERING TOWN

ALFRETON TOWN v KETTERING TOWN

Friday Oct 7, 2011

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 8th, 2011. Kick-off: 3pm.

ALFRETON Town face the first of two Blue Square Bet Premier Division home games in four days when they take on fellow strugglers Kettering Town at the Impact Arena on Saturday.
Reds boss Nicky Law looks set to hand latest signing, on-loan Peterborough United goalkeeper Joe Day, his debut and the squad will be strengthened by the return from injury of four players.
Levi Mackin has recovered from a slight hamstring strain, Theo Streete a back injury, Josh Law a groin strain and Matt Wilson from a hip injury.
Striker Paul Clayton has also shaken off the effects of an ankle injury which forced him of the 5-2 defeat at Grimsby Town last weekend.
Nicky Law has also been boosted by the return to training of striker Anthony Wilson who has missed the last seven weeks of the season with a broken foot and he could yet play some part in Saturday's game.
The Reds go into the game seeking a first win in four outings. Kettering have lost their last two league games.
Kettering are now under the new management of Mark Stimson and arrive in Derbyshire in 20th place in the table with 11 points from 13 league games, one position and two points better off than Alfreton who have 9 from 13 and a worse goal difference.
A Reds victory would see them leapfrog the Poppies and could lift Nicky Law's side out of the relegation zone dependant on other results on the day.
Kick-off at the Impact Arena is 3pm and the fixture sees a 'Kids for a Quid' family event taking place where supporters aged 15 and under can gain admission to the fixture for just £1 provided that they are accompanied by an adult paying full or concession admission rates.
