Alfreton Town v Ilkeston Town

Alfreton Town v Ilkeston Town

Tuesday Feb 27, 2018

Tonight we hope to play our re-arranged Derbyshire Senior Cup semi-final against Ilkeston Town at the Impact Arena, kick-off 7.45pm.

Admission to the game is Adults £6, Concessions £3, Juniors £1.

Ilkeston currently lie 3rd in the Total Motion Midland League Division One with a playing record of Played 28, Won 18, Drawn 4, Lost 6, Points 58. They are one point adrift of Atherstone Town in second place and six points behind leaders Walsall Wood who have three games in hand.

Last Saturday saw the Robins go down to a 4-2 defeat at Hinckley after leading 0-2 at half time.

The Reds head into the fixture off the back of three tough games against Salford City (L 2-3), Harrogate Town (L 4-3) and York City (D 1-1). The Reds matched all three teams for large periods and boss Chris Moyses was disappointed that Alfreton didn't pick up more points from the three games, but took positives from the performances as we picked up an excellent point at York on Saturday.

Attention now turns to the Derbyshire Senior Cup tonight as we look to reach our second final in the last three seasons.

The winners of tonight's game will play Chesterfield in the final, the Spireites having won their semi-final 1-0 against Buxton at the Proact last Tuesday evening.

The Impact Arena pitch is under it's frost covers, but with adverse weather predicted please keep in touch with the website or Twitter for further updates regarding a pitch inspection and if the fixture will go ahead this evening.
