Alfreton welcome FC United of Manchester to the Impact Arena in the Vanarama National League North, where they will be looking for a positive result to move a little further away fron the drop-zone.

The two teams met at Broadhurst Park back in October when the Reds went down 4-3 in an exciting encounter. The Reds fought back from 3-0 down to get on level terms at 3-3 only for the home side to bag a controversial winner with eight minutes remaining. Alfreton's scorers were Adam Smith with a brace on his debut and Brad McGowan with his first for the club.

FC United currently lie in 12th place in the table with 43 points gained from 33 games. Last Saturday saw them grab an excellent three points with a 1-0 home win over Tamworth. The all important goal was a wonder strike from Nathan Lowe and came in the 94th minute of the game.

The FC United team was : Carnell, Wright, Williams, Ashworth, Corbett, Thomson (Greaves), Lowe, Wolfenden, Kay, Sheridan ( Wilkinson ), Amison (Gilchrist)

Subs not used : Brown, Glynn

As usual a large visiting contingent is expected and segregation will be in place.

The Reds are at home again this coming Tuesday the 21st of March when Boston United are the visitors to the Impact Arena , Kick-off 7-45 pm .
