ALFRETON TOWN v DOVER ATHLETIC PREVIEW
Thursday Nov 13, 2014
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 15th, 3pm
Alfreton Town are in Vanarama Conference action on Saturday when Dover Athletic are the visitors to the Impact Arena.
Reds manager Nicky Law has no new injury worries but will be without striker Karl Hawley again as he serves the last of a three-game suspension.
Law will be looking for his side to build on a four-point haul from the last two league games, both of which have yielded clean sheets and a victory could lift the Reds out of the bottom four and take them to within a point of Dover.
Dover arrive for their first ever visit to Alfreton in good form having only lost once in their last five games in all competitions.
They have also taken four points from their last two league games, a 2-2 draw at Southport on November 1st being followed by a 1-0 home win over Braintree Town on Tuesday evening thanks to a headed goal from former Alfreton player Nicky Deverdics.
Inbetween those was confidence-boosting 1-0 home win over League Two side Morecambe in the FA Cup first round.
The Whites have now won six games in a row at their Crabble home ground, but on their travels in the league this season, Dover have found life somewhat difficult with just one away win so far, a 4-1 success at AFC Telford United.
They have picked up two very good 1-1 draws at Grimsby Town and Bristol Rovers as well though.
Defeats have been tasted at Braintree Town (0-3), Woking (1-6), Dartford (1-2), Torquay United (0-2), Nuneaton Town (2-3) and Macclesfield Town (0-1).
Earlier in the season, Dover claimed all three points from a 1-0 win over Alfreton in Kent, a 38th minute goal from Ricky Miller proving the difference in a poor game on Saturday, September 27th.
There is no segregation for this fixture but all Dover Athletic fans are kindly requested to enter the Impact Arena stadium via the Alma Street turnstiles.
Catering and toilet facilities as well as match day programmes are available in the away section of the ground.
Ordinary admission at the turnstile on the day of the game is £18 for adults and £12 for concessions (over-65s).
