Exciting New Partnership with Rolls Royce Leisure!!

Alfreton Town Football Club are delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with Rolls-Royce Leisure that will see the club launch a new Youth Academy for the start of the 16/17 season.

The Academy, who will play their home matches at the Impact Arena, will look to recruit 16-18 year old talented footballers from across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. The team will compete in the FA Youth cup, where they have been drawn at home to Leicestershire outfit Aylestone Park, as well as the Central Conference League and the Premier Division of Notts Youth League.

Successful recruits will train three to four times per week at Rolls-Royce Leisure’s outstanding facility which includes high quality football pitches, 3g surface, state of the art gym, canteen, meeting rooms and classrooms, and while on site players will study towards a Btec level 3 (equivalent to 3 A levels) in Sports Excellence.

Chairman Wayne Bradley said, “We are delighted to have formed this partnership with Rolls Royce Leisure and look forward to the development of the Academy over the years to follow”

The 17/18 season will see the formation of a development/reserve team which in turn will allow the club take a major step forward in being able to access, not only local talent, but that identified by our American associates,

Legend Football Partners, who are based in Texas.

Newly appointed Academy Manager Jamie Brough added “This is a great opportunity for young players to be part of a fantastic new academy and under 21 development group within a forward thinking and progressive football club. It is probably more crucial than ever that clubs look to develop their own talent and I’m delighted to be part the clubs new Academy. You only have to look at Jamie Vardy to see what can be achieved by being in and around a good non-league football club and I’m hopeful we’ll find some talented footballers at the upcoming trials.”

The first initial trial day has been arranged for Friday the 19th of August and is being used to not only recruit players for this coming seasons academy, but also for those players who will be ready to take a place in the academy next summer. Anyone wishing to reserve a place at the trial or wishes to find out further information should contact either Lisa Towerzey via e-mail  to or via phone 0115 921 8607 or e-mail
