Alfreton Town took a massive step towards ensuring Conference Premier Division football for a third successive season when four second half goals enabled them to crush relegation-haunted Barrow 4-0 at the Impact Arena on Tuesday night to seal a first league double of the campaign.

Paul Clayton scored on 47 and 54 minutes to settle the Reds and they finished convincing winners after a double from Nathan Arnold on 69 and 81 minutes.

The victory means Nicky Law's side need just three points from the remaining three games to ensure their safety.

The Reds are at home again on Thursday evening when Tamworth are the visitors for a game which kicks-off at 7.45pm.

On Saturday, Alfreton travel to Newport County. ATFC Supporters' Association transport departs at 8.45am and seats can be booked by contacting Mark Thorpe on 07857 558401. The theme of the day for fans travelling to the last away game of the season is dress code is all-red!
