Alfreton Town made it four home wins from four games with a hard-fought 3-1 success over a more than useful Woking side at the Impact Arena on Saturday.
In front of 628, man of the match Tom Shaw (right) netted from close range after nine minutes, finishing a strong run and pull back by Job Ayo Akinde but the visitors were level within 60 seconds when Gavin Williams smacked home a penalty after Bradley Wood was adjudged to have handled when falling in the area under pressure from Kevin Betsy.
Shaw's second goal of the game from close range on 43 minutes restored Nicky Law's side lead and although Woking had plenty of possession in the second half, they could not break down the home defence.
The victory was wrapped up in the third minute of three of injury time when Akinde firstly set up John McGrath on the edge of the area and after his shot was parried by Aaron Howe, Akinde repeated his shrewd pass to substitute Danny Meadows who steered home his first goal of the season into the bottom corner from the edge of the area.
