In front of 1,123 Blue Square Bet North champions Alfreton Town brought the curtain down on a fantastic season with a 29th league victory.

The game was preceded by a minute's applause in memory of supporter Graham Jones who sadly passed away prior to the Gainsborough Trinity game on Easter Monday.
Nicky Law's side ended the season with three straight wins but had to come from behind to do so. After Aden Flint had put Alfreton in front on eight minutes in his last game for the club before returning to Swindon Town, Nuneaton equalised through Robbie Burns's superb curling shot on 18 and went in front on 50 when Iseyden Christie fird home from 18 yards.
One minute later Liam Hearn reacted quickest to lash home the equaliser after visiting keeper Danny Alcock parried a Josh Law penalty. And from a second penalty award of the afternoon, man-of-the-match Hearn blasted home the winner on 68 minutes to wrap up his 30th league goal of the season, a 32nd in total, to win the golden boot award.
