Alfreton Town succumbed to a ninth home league defeat of the season as Stockport County came from a goal behind to win 3-2 and climb out of the bottom four.
Danny Meadows headed the Reds in front on 21 minutes and after Alfreton were denied what appeared a blatant penalty for a foul on Paul Clayton, Clayton had a header cleared off the line.
James Tunnicliffe powerfully headed home a corner on 40 to level for the visitors.
Stockport went in front on 48 minutes when Mark Cullen netted at the third attempt from very close range and it became 3-1 when Cullen set up Jon Nolan to rifle home from the edge of the area.
Alfreton put pressure on the visitors in the latter stages and reduced the arrears when Nathan Arnold fired home an angled shot on 90+1 minutes but Stockport held firm to clinch the win.
The Reds are at home again on Tuesday night when Barrow are the visitors for a 7.45pm kick-off.
