LATE LAW HEADER WINS IT FOR REDS

Josh Law's 89th minute header enabled Alfreton Town to record their third successive home win as they ended Hereford United's unbeaten start to the season with a deserved 2-1 victory at the Impact Arena on August Bank Holiday Monday.
Job Ayo Akinde's fourth goal in three games, a 12th minute diving header to finish a superb Danny Meadows cross from the right, put the Reds in front, but as the first half wore on, the lead could have been stretched much further as Nicky Law's side hit the bar twice and missed other chances.
Hereford equalised in the second minute of added time at the end of the first half when Chris Sharp netted from very close range after a throw-in had been headed down in the area.
If Alfreton had dominated the first half, the second was far more even with a few chances at either end. Daniel Wishart struck an 18 yarder against a post before Josh Law headed a dramatic winner on 89 minutes, rising high to guide his six-yard header across Bulls keeper Rhys Evans and into the far corner of the net for his first goal of the campaign.
The attendance was 740 with 181 visiting fans. Nick Fenton was the Reds man of the match.
Alfreton are next in action on Saturday when they travel to take on big-spending Forest Green Rovers at the New Lawn. ATFC Supporters' Association transport departs at 9am and seats can be booked by contacting Mark Thorpe on 07857 558401.
