ALFRETON Town recovered from an under par first half to deservedly gain a point in a 2-2 draw with Ebbsfleet United at the Impact Arena on Saturday.
The Reds fell behind after five minutes when Liam Enver-Marum fired Ebbsfleet ahead with a low ten-yard drive which hit the far bottom corner.
In a first-half in which Nicky Law's side couldn't produce the fluency display in the midweek victory, they went in at half-time 2-0 down when Calum Willock's header from Lanre Azeez's corner was adjudged to have crossed the line by a referee's assistant despite Josh Law's clearing header.
Whatever was said at half-time by manager Law galvanised Alfreton and they dominated the second period, winning numerous free kicks and corners.
Anton Brown pulled one back on 49 minutes in when he headed in at the near post to finish one of several quality deliveries into the penalty area by Andy Holdsworth.
The equaliser came on 64 minutes when man-of-the-match Nathan Jarman cracked in a 12 yard drive after Ebbsfleet had failed to deal with .
The attendance was 661. Full report to follow.
Alfreton travel to AFC Telford United on Tuesday evening. Kick-off is 7.45pm and supporters' association transport departs at 5pm.
