Alfreton Town go into Christmas lying fourth in the Skrill Premier table after coming from behind to beat a battling Dartford 2-1 at the Impact Arena on Saturday.

In front of 575, the Reds fell behind on 16 minutes when Darran Kempson tripped Danny Harris in the penalty area and Elliot Bradbrook netted from the spot despite home keeper Jon Worsnop getting both hands to the ball which squirmed away from him and into the net.

Dartford had Lee Noble sent off on 33 minutes for a dangerous, if somewhat unintentional challenge, which left Connor Franklin with a trip to hospital with a nasty head injury.

Two goals in seven minutes swung the game in Alfreton's favour with Paul Clayton finishing two superb crosses from Dan Bradley on 53 and 60 minutes.

Alfreton go to Wrexham on Boxing Day with ATFC Supporters' Association transport departing at 10am. Seats can be booked by contacting Mark Thorpe on 07857 558401.
