Alfreton Town extended their unbeaten league run to five games but had to settle for a share of the spoils from an uninspiring clash with Braintree Town which finished 1-1.

The Reds lost Anton Brown to a calf injury after just six minutes but took the lead on 44 minutes when Dan Bradley netted his fourth goal in as many games from the penalty spot after Anthony Wilson had been fouled in the area by Matt Paine.

Braintree equalised from the second penalty award of the game when skipper Kenny Davis netted from the spot after Theo Streete had impeded Sean Marks on 73 minutes.

The Reds' man of the match was Josh Law and the attendance was 496.

The Reds have no midweek game and are next in action when they travel to face Macclesfield Town next Saturday.

ATFC Supporters' Association transport departs at 10.15am and seats can be booked by contacting Mark Thorpe on 01773 836251.
