ALFRETON TOWN 1, BOSTON UNITED 2

Saturday Nov 21, 2015

Alfreton Town fell to a 2-1 Vanarama National North league home defeat at the hands of Boston United on Saturday.

In their first Saturday home league outing for seven weeks, the Reds got off to a terrible start when Jordan Blinco scored for Boston after just 53 seconds.

Blinco doubled his side's lead on 61 minutes and despite substitute Joe Ironside reducing the arrears on 82 minutes when he forced the ball home from close range after his initial shot had come back off the post, the Reds could not make heavy late pressure pay off and they slipped to their fourth home defeat of the season as they conceded a league 'double' to Boston.

The Reds wore their unique, specially created UN1TUS Remembrance Poppy kit for the final time this season.

The attendance was 602 and Ryan Wilson was named as the Reds man of the match.
