Alfreton Town fell to a 2-1 defeat against Keith Hill's Barnsley side in a first home pre-season outing of the summer on Tuesday evening.

Reds boss Nicky Law used numerous trialists throughout the game which attracted an attendance of 671.

Two Craig Davis  goals on 55 and 61 minutes put the Tykes in charge in the second half before the Reds pulled one back on 70 minutes with a header from one of the night's trialists.

Alfreton are at home again on Saturday when another npower Championship side, this time Leeds United, are the visitors to the Impact Arena. Kick-off is 3pm and segregation is in place for this fixture.

All away supporters should enter the stadium via the away turnstiles at the Alma Street end of the ground.
