ALFRETON TOWN 1, ALDERSHOT TOWN 4
Tuesday Apr 8, 2014
Alfreton Town's play-off hopes were dented by a 4-1 home defeat against relegation-fighting Aldershot Town on Tuesday evening.
The Reds began well but fell behind against the run of play on 11 minutes when Martin Rowlands curled home a free kick from the edge of the penalty area and the visitors doubled their lead on 16 minutes when Mark Phillips headed home a cross.
Job Ayo Akinde replied for the Reds on 56 minutes when he steered home a Josh Law cross but within a minute, Aldershot were 3-1 up when Manny Oyeleke netted from close range and the points were assured for the Shots when Mark Molesley despatched an 18 yarder.
The attendance was 620 and Daniel Meadows was named as the Reds Man of the match.
