ALFRETON Town battled to a deserved point in a goalless draw against play-off chasing Luton Town at the Impact Arena.

The visitors started the better, creating four early chances, none of which were taken. The closest was an Andre Gray shot which came back off Jon Stewart's left-hand post on 29 minutes.

Alfreton grew into the match and had the better of the second half.

Nathan Jarman saw a stooping header hit a post on 68 minutes and then fired another chance wide but it was Josh Law who ensured a point for Nicky Law's side when he cleared a header from Luton substitute Andre Boucard off the line in the last minute of added time.

The attendance was 1,654 with 889 making the trip from Luton. Connor Franklin was named the Reds man-of-the-match.

Alfreton are next in action on Saturday, April 21 when they travel to face Newport County. Kick-off is 3pm and ATFC Supporters' Association transport departs at 9am. Seats can be booked by contacting Mark Thorpe on 01773 836251.
