FOUR GAMES WITHOUT A WIN FOR REDS

A below par performance from Alfreton Town was punished as visitors FC United of Manchester deservedly won 1-0 at the Impact Arena on Saturday.

In front of a season's best home attendance of 1,087 Nicky Law's side began the game really well but failed to capitalise on their early superiority and then conceded the game's only goal on 26 minutes when George Thomson rifled home from 12 yards.

Alfreton had plenty of possession throughout but ultimately struggled to break down a well-drilled visiting defence and the Reds now find themselves without a win in the league in four games.

Latest signing Julian Banton (pictured) made his debut for the club having joined the Reds the day before from Sheffield United on loan until the end of the season.
