REDS SUFFER FIFTH SUCCESSIVE HOME LEAGUE DEFEAT

Alfreton Town slipped to a fourth successive Vanarama National League North defeat after going down 1-0 to in-form Bradford Park Avenue at the Impact Arena on Saturday.

Clear cut chances were at a premium at either end although debutant Reds keeper Fabian Spiess (pictured) and former Town keeper Jon Stewart were both in good form throughout.

The only goal of the game came on 15 minutes when Richard Marshall fed Craig King and he despatched a firm low cross shot into the far corner in-off the far post.

The defeat saw Nicky Law's side drop one place to 16th in the table, just one point above the relegation places.

NEXT IN ACTION
Alfreton Town are back in action on Tuesday evening when they take on Whaley Bridge Athletic at the Impact Arena in a re-played Derbyshire Senior Cup third round tie following last Saturday's abandonment due to a waterlogged pitch.
Kick-off is7.45pm and extra time and penalties will be utilised if necessary.
Admission to this game is at the reduced rate of £6 for adults and £3 for concessions (over-65s and under-16s).
