ALDERSHOT TOWN WILL START WITH MINUS TEN POINTS

FOOTBALL CONFERENCE AGM NEWS

Following today's Football Conference AGM at Celtic Manor, the BBC non league site is reporting that relegated Aldershot Town will begin the 2013/2014 league season with a ten-point deduction due to being in administration.

It states: "Aldershot Town have been accepted into the Conference Premier with a 10-point deduction for being in administration.

The Shots, who entered administration on 2 May, finished bottom of League Two, three points adrift of safety.

Just six players remain on the club's books after administrators Quantuma Restructuring made 13
redundant.

The Hampshire side have £1m worth of debts and owe £300,000 to football creditors, but were voted into the division at the Conference's AGM."

The decision to accept Aldershot Town means Stockport County FC will definitely be in Conference North next season.
