ACTION-PACKED DAY ON SATURDAY
Thursday Apr 7, 2016
Alfreton Town fans can look forward to an action-packed day at this Saturday’s penultimate home league game of the season.
The Reds have a very interesting Vanarama National League North fixture in prospect when they take on promotion-chasing Harrogate Town at the Impact Arena.
However, a lot of the lot of the action on the day will involve events away from the field of play.
The club will be staging a team shirt auction throughout the day and bids will be welcomed for unique pieces of ATFC memorabilia.
ATFC Commercial Director Rob Staniforth said: “Alfreton Town FC is proud to be working in the Community with a number of self help groups and charities looking to raise their company profile and in turn use the partnership of the club to help with fundraising initiatives.
"Part of the clubs enhanced community spirit and involvement has encouraged a cross-section of people to attend the Impact Arena to watch the game, meet the team and network at various organised events
"The club will again be holding a team shirt auction throughout Saturday’s game with the benefits going to one of the club’s chosen charities The Royal British Legion, as the club has since committed to a new long-term relationship with servicemen across the UK and local areas.
"It will be a silent auction at Saturday’s game against Harrogate which in itself should be a great game to watch, whilst also raising money for our servicemen and women.
"If you wish to take part, get yourself to the ground and look out for our marketing team who will be able to tell you more on the day. We look forward to seeing you there" ended Rob.
There will also be a bucket collection organised by ATFC Supporters’ Association in aid of the Bobby Moore Cancer Fund with all monies raised going to the charity associated with the former West Ham United and England World Cup winner from 1966.
Cup final tickets
Tickets will also be available on the day for the forthcoming Derbyshire Senior Cup Final against Belper Town at Ilkeston FC's New Manor Ground on Tuesday, April 26th.
These will be available to Reds fans from 2pm and 6pm from the ticket office at the Impact Arena on Saturday.
The final is not an all-ticket fixture and entry can be gained at the turnstiles on the night of the game.
But for fans wishing to purchase a ticket in advance, prices are £8 for adults and £5 for concessions.
A presentation of a cheque for £25,000 will be made to the club at half-time by a representative from the Football Conference Trust. The monies will go towards Alfreton Town's highly-rated Community Scheme.
