Alfreton Town picked up an excellent point as they held Blue Square Bet Premier Division leaders Wrexham to a 1-1 draw at the Racecourse on Saturday.
The hosts took the lead in the eighth minute through a fine goal by Kevin Thornton, but after that Alfreton dominated for long periods and Scott Boden netted for the second successive game to get the Reds a deserved equaliser on 57 minutes.
Alfreton are back in action on Tuesday night when Barrow are the visitors to the Impact Arena for a league fixture which kicks off at 7.45pm.
