The boss looks ahead to tonight's game against Kidderminster

Reds Boss Chris Moyses looks ahead to tonight's fixture against Kidderminster.

Alfreton got back to winning ways with an impressive and crucial 3-1 win at Southport on Saturday which moved us up to 16th place in the table, still only three points above the relegation zone. Tom Allan gave us the lead inside 90 seconds before Brendon Daniels added a second before the break. Nyal Bell with virtually his first touch scored a cracking third; before Gilchrist slotted home from close range for a late consolation for the hosts.

It was the perfect response from the Reds after last Tuesday's abject 0-1 defeat at home to Telford which frustrated players, fans and management and left us just one point above the drop at that moment. Saturday was also a perfect reminder into the quality of the Reds squad and the growing potential to mount a future challenge towards the top seven, as we produced another excellent away performance and took points off another in-form team in the league.

Chris, said:

"Our group is hard to describe, to be honest, we have the quality there which everyone can see but getting it out of them is sometimes a difficult job. We were flat against Telford last Tuesday and then we put in a fantastic performance on Saturday, every man was brilliant and we struck early which was important with a great header from Tom."

"Brendon added an excellent second and Nyal with a great finish for the third. We were outstanding and it was an important three points for us. What we have realised is that there's a certain way we need to play, there's a certain way we can't play, we need to give them a clear definition of the way we need to play but we would have taken the three points Saturday, we were organised and defended from the front."

On Kidderminster:

"It will be another tough game tonight, they sit in the play-offs and no doubt they will want to react from that draw against Salford at the weekend. But we are looking forward to it, it's another team right up there and we can't wait to get going and build on Saturday's result."

"We have a lot more experience in the side when it comes to fighting for things, a lot is at stake and we want ensure we stay in this division. The quality and potential of the squad to be successful is fantastic and we want to make sure we build on Saturday."
