Easter Weekend Matches

This coming Easter weekend Alfreton have two games in the Vanarama National League North.
We begin on Saturday with a home game at the Impact Arena with play-off chasing Darlington 1883, Kick-Off 3 pm.
The Quakers currently lie in 5th place in the table just inside the play-off places, level on points with Chorley and one point behind Salford City.
Last Saturday saw them defeat Tamworth 3-2 at their new Blackwell Meadows home, with goals from Terry Galbraith, Stephen Thompson and Nathan Cartman. before a crowd of 1,694.

Darlington : Bartlett, Hunter, Brown, Galbraith, Ferguson, Thompson ( Scott), Turnbull, Syers, Gillies ( Wearmouth), Cartman ( Saunders)
Subs not used : Wilczinski, Marrs
Tamworth : Joseph, Burns, Jones, Lane, Morley, Deeney, Taylor (Powell), Ben Fox, Styche ( Brandon Fox), Newton, Dyer.
Subs not used : Green, Clarke, Davies
The Reds had an excellent 4-3 win back in August against Darlington, at Bishop Auckland with two goals from Liam Hearn and one each from Craig Westcarr and Andy Monkhouse.
Th Reds will be looking to claim their first points and goals in four matches.
On Easter Monday we travel the relatively short distance to the GST Services Stadium also known as the Lamb to take on Tamworth hoping to avenge our 5-2 defeat at the Impact Arena on August Bank Holiday Monday where our scorers were Andy Monkhouse and Dan Bradley. Kick- Off is at 3 pm. Tamworth now play on an artificial 4G surface.
Tamworth currently lie 9th in the National League North table eight points adrift of the play-offs following their defeat at Darlington.
