DSC Final: Pride Park to host final

DSC Final: Pride Park to host final

Wednesday Mar 20, 2019

Alfreton Town can now confirm details for supporters in relation to our Derbyshire Senior Cup final.

The final will take place on Wednesday 24th April at the home of Derby County, Pride Park. Kick-off is at 7.45pm.

The Reds face off against rivals Mickleover Sports after we progressed past Matlock Town 4-2 in the semi-final back in February. Sports earned their spot in the final with a 4-1 win over Clay Cross Town in January.

Admission details have been priced at:

Adults £10, Concessions £5 and Under 16s £2.

ATFC appealed against the chosen date of 24th April which is asking the Reds to play four times in seven days over the Easter period. The DCFA acknowledged they could have planned better and relieved both clubs from such a testing fixture schedule.

ATFC were also mindful that its supporters are being asked to pay out to attend the four games in seven days and felt it was unfair. The club will never the less, attempt to best manage its squad in order to remain competitive throughout all of the four games.

Chairman Wayne Bradley has also confirmed that he will personally fund the entry of ten Reds supporters to the DSC final to lessen the financial burden on its fan base.

The supporters association will make the decision on which ten people gain the free of charge entry.
