Curzon Ashton 5 Alfreton Town 0

Curzon Ashton 5 Alfreton Town 0

Monday Feb 20, 2017

The Reds suffered their heaviest defeat in nearly two years at the Tames-side Stadium on Saturday.

The former Salford City striker Matthew Warburton bagged a hat-trick with goals on 37,45 and 90 minutes. The other Nash scorers were Ryan Hall (56) and Niall Cummins (69). A poor defensive display from the Reds wasn't helped by injuries to Terry Kennedy and Tom Allan.

Alfreton remain in relegation trouble currently lying  17th  in the Vanarama National League table just three points above the drop-zone.

Their next match is a very diffiucult one with a visit to Chorley next Saturday, with the Lancashire side fourth in the table and in good form.
