Club Secretary appointed

Tuesday Jun 13, 2017

Alfreton Town are delighted to appoint Andrew Raisin as Club Secretary.

Andrew joins the club and becomes the latest addition to the Reds after the arrival of new manager John McDermott, new director and investor Lee Mullen and also four confirmed signings.

Andrew is the Reds third staff appointment with John McDermott becoming manager in May and Amar Sharma being appointed as Press Officer in November last year.

Bryan Rudkin will remain with the Reds and will mentor Andrew into the role. Andrew’s previous experience has been at both Ilkeston Town and Ilkeston FC and is well known within the Ilkeston community; he is an avid Ilkeston fan and was a former director at Ilkeston Town.

Raisin re-joined Ilkeston in 2011, the club reformed as Ilkeston FC after the loss of Ilkeston Town and enjoyed a long term spell at the club over seeing a promotion winning campaign in 2011-12 as the Robins beat Leek Town in the Play-off Final to earn a spot in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League, two Derbyshire senior cups followed in 2012-13 and 2013-14.

Chairman Wayne Bradley was delighted to welcome Andrew to the Reds:

“I am absolutely delighted to welcome Andrew to Alfreton Town. He was a fantastic servant for Ilkeston Town and Ilkeston FC whose circumstances have been very difficult. He is a hard working individual who applies himself well and knows the job of a secretary and what is required.”

“His experience has been most recently at Evo-Stik level but he moves to us and moves into the National League North where requirements are not too different. He will be an important member of staff for us and a good liaison and will be mentored by Bryan Rudkin.”

“I wish him all the best with us and he joins an excellent line up of staff on and off the pitch and I hope everyone will welcome him into the club.”
