Alfreton Town 0 Stalybridge Celtic 2

Wednesday Apr 5, 2017

It was another disappointing outcome on Tuesday evening,  when relegation threatened Stalybridge Celtic came away from the Impact Arena with all three points,  after a 2-0 victory in their Vanarama National League North clash.

This was the Red's second home defeat in three days after Saturdays' 1-0 reversal to Bradford Park Avenue.

Celtic's goals were scored seven minutes either side of the interval by Danny Wisdom and Andy Bishop.

The Reds had a number of chances in the game, Liam Hearn hitting the post and having a goal disallowed.

Alfreton drop to 18th place in the table still nine points above the relegation zone, whilst this was only Stalybridges' sixth league win of the season.

A full match report and line-ups can be found in the results section of this website.
