ALFRETON TOWN v CHESTER PREVIEW
Monday Oct 7, 2013
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 8th, 7.45pm
by Matt Carter
Alfreton Town entertain third from bottom Chester FC in Skrill Premier action at the Impact Arena on Tuesday evening. Kick-off is 7.45pm.
The Reds will be hopeful of pushing their way back into the play-off places if they can secure a third successive win on home turf.
On Saturday Nicky Laws' men put behind them successive defeats for the first time all season, showing tremendous resolve to come from 2-1 down to pick up an impressive 3-2 win over big spending Forest Green.
That result incredibly representing a sixth win in seven for the Reds at the Impact Arena - with runaway leaders Cambridge United now the only side to have picked up more points on their own patch, and the only team to gain a point at the Impact Arena so far.
Newly promoted Chester are finding life tough at the top non league level and are currently on a run of four games without a victory, as well as that they will be bringing with them an away return of five defeats in six games. Undoubtedly given their strong home record Alfreton look big favourites for this one, however they will need to guard against complacency - particularly as Chester showed plenty of resolve in holding sixth-placed Kidderminster to a goalless draw on Saturday.
Such is the congested nature of the Conference Premier table right now, Alfreton could find themselves as high as second position come close of play tonight - not that it is needed, but plenty of incentive to pick up the desired result.
The task though is made more difficult with Nick Fenton due to commence a three game suspension following his sending off against Forest Green, whilst Paul Clayton (ankle) and Chris Westwood (knee) are both absent due to injury meaning the Alfreton squad is likely to be stretched for Tuesdays clash.
There is no segregation in place for this fixture but visiting fans are kindly requested to enter the stadium via the Alma Street turnstiles only.
Covered terracing and seating areas are available for visiting fans, as well as match day programmes, catering and toilet facilities.
Admission at the turnstile on the day of the game is £18 for adults and £12 for concessions (under-16s and over-65s).
Alternatively, Early Bird Match Tickets and Group Saver Match Tickets both offer discounted admission if ordered prior to the match. Full details are listed here
Early Bird Match Tickets priced at £16 and £11 respectively can be purchased on Monday by contacting the Ticket Office on 01773 830277 between 9am and 3.30pm.

Early Bird Match Tickets ordered by visiting fans via the Ticket Office via telephone can be collected from the main turnstiles situated at North Street on the day of the match. No Early Bird Match Tickets are available on the day of the match.
Group Saver Match Tickets require a total of five or more supporters per ticket in order to be eligible for purchase and to take advantage of these excellent rates, but these can be a mixture of adults at the lower price of £15 each and over-65's at just £10 each.
The Group Saver Ticket is available from the ATFC administration office at the Impact Arena between the hours of 9am and 3.30pm Monday to Friday, but the deadline for purchasing these is 3.30pm on the last working day prior to each home league fixture.
