2000 Consecutive games for Bill Draper

Monday Apr 23, 2018

Long standing supporter, stadium announcer and reporter Bill Draper achieved the remarkable feat of attending his 2,000th consecutive Alfreton Town game on Saturday when the Reds entertained FC United of Manchester at the Impact Arena.

A feat which has spanned over 37 years and four months; Bill's first game in this long standing run was on the 20th of December 1980 away at Sutton Town. The game finished 1-1, with the Red's goal scored by Steve Cant. Alfreton's manager at the time was Evan Sutherland.

The photos show Alfreton Town Chairman Wayne Bradley presenting a special memento to Bill after the game.
