Alfreton Town Football Club super fan Geoff Greenwood clocked up his 1,500th successive game of watching the Reds in competitive action during Tuesday evening's 1-1 draw at Gloucester City.

A life long fan of Alfreton, Geoff, 57, from Somercotes, last missed a competitive Alfreton Town game way back on December 28th, 1987, when he was unable get to the away game at Congleton Town.

The milestone was kindly announced over the tannoy by Gloucester City FC on Tuesday night and he received a round of applause from the home fans.

On Twitter,  our good friends at Fort Worth Vaqueros said: "This is cool, congrats @alfretontownfc fan Geoff Greenwood who attended his 1,500th consecutive ATFC match today, every game since 1987"
