Alfreton Town pulled off one of the most notable wins in their history when they swept aside Luton Town at the Impact Arena on Saturday.
The Hatters had won all three of their opening Blue Square Bet Premier away games before being derailed by a rampant Reds performance in the sweltering heat, with Anthony Wilson scoring twice to add to Dan Bradley's penalty.
The visitors enjoyed the first attack when Andre Gray headed over from an Alex Lawless cross, but Alfreton had taken the lead by the end of the second minute when Wilson was on hand to steer Nathan Arnold's by-line cross over the line from close range.
The Reds made it difficult for their opponents to create any fluent moves, although it needed a routine save from keeper Jon Stewart to hold Jake Robinson's low drive in the 11th minute.
Alfreton led 2-0 on 23 minutes after Dean Beckwith had upended Arnold as he ran on to Danny Meadows' through-ball, with Bradley claiming his first Reds' goal with a well-placed spot-kick.
An effort from Jake Howells was comfortably dealt with by Stewart, the keeper then holding Greg Taylor's weak shot from 22 yards, while at the other end Arnold was sent to the by-line by Leigh Franks before firing across the face of goal.
Franks almost caught Luton keeper Mark Tyler out with a dipping cross, then in the 37th minute Tyler had to produce a stretching save to turn Arnold's goalbound shot on to the foot of the post after being put through by Bradley.
A swerving 35 yarder from Meadows needed Tyler's attention, then in response in added time at the end of the first half Gray screwed a gilt-edged chance wide from six yards after Bradley's wayward header in defence of a Robinson free-kick.

Anton Brown went close from 22 yards five minutes after the restart, then on 56 minutes Beckwith fired through a ruck of players as Luton pressed briefly only to be denied by the alert Stewart.
Arnold's strong central run ended with Beckwith hastily conceding a corner, then Stewart had to save a flying Connor Essam header from Stuart Fleetwood's by-line cross.
With 66 minutes on the clock Alfreton were gifted a third goal when Tyler misjudged Bradley's lofted through-ball as Wilson closed in, the keeper's attempted clearance merely setting up the striker with the simple task of rolling the ball into the empty net.
Meadows' angled drive was blocked by Tyler on 78 minutes, then Gray missed another decent chance for the Hatters from another Fleetwood cross.
Seconds after coming off the bench Simon Russell's 83rd minute cross set up Bradley for a powerful drive from the edge of the area that only just evaded the target, then in a similar move at the other end Lawless almost had the final word from the same distance.
