Here's one which might cause a stir,

If Alfreton finish 4th bottom this season would you sooner....

Darlington fold and Alfreton stay up

or

Darlington survive and Alfreton get relegated...

Your thoughts..

Simple. If we're not good enough to stay in league we go back to BSN, regroup and try again

However, the Conference really needs to get its house in order. The history of the league is littered with clubs that no longer exist or are AFCs

Finish 4th bottom and Darlington are thrown out of the league.

Teams like Darlington, Kettering, Lincoln, Wrexham etc who live beyond there means and enter adminitration, CVA's or are hauled before the conference or taxman etc have all been cheating....

If you cant afford it dont buy it !!

Understand your feelings psycho3a, but I feel for the genuine supporters of the clubs you have named, they often have no say in who runs their club and the stress in their lives should be avoided.  It is down to the FA and League to sort out the vetting procedure more effectively.  It's a slow process, but improving. Brian Lee and his team are doing their best in difficult circumstances.
Meantime, if we don't make it above the religation spots by end of season, down and back to the drawing board.  This, however, is academic for our team will make it safely into BSP next season.
C'on you REDS!

We worked bloody hard to get here getting a team that was good enough and improving the ground WITHOUT OVERSPENDING so I would want Alfreton to stay up by any means neccesary. The league has to sort out these clubs who overspend so the clubs that are run right have a chance.

Sorry to say it but I'm with you mate. Worse case and all that and I don't want to see Darlo and anyone else go bang but if happened and we stayed up because of it I would take it.
To infinity... And beyond...

Were not going to be in the relagation zone anyway. Anyone who wants to bet on a pint of the dev's finest mild is welcome.
I hope Darlington live to fight another day, but it does say something if clubs like this with such a huge fan base can go bust. Why isnt the chairman etc being hung, drawn and quartered. If it was an industrial business employing people there would be uproar. Because its a football club nothing, the chairman walks away without being made to put more assets and commitment in. He still has millions.
FA or other body needs tomake up better rules. Im sure if some of these millionaires where made to put more effort into the football business, rather than seeing owning a club as 'posh boys' necessaity clubs like Darlo would be in a better place.

Often to win 2-1.

Nath
