Former York City and Altrincham central defender Greg Young was the first summer of 2011 signing.
He has arrived at the Impact Arena on a two-year deal, but it is a second spell with the Reds following a month's loan spell at the start of the 2007/08 campaign where he made six appearances.
A 6'3'' he will bring plenty of power and experience to the side.
Doncaster-born Greg began his career with Sheffield Wednesday as a youth before going to Grimsby Town as a trainee where he went on to make 28 appearances with the Mariners before going out on loan to Northwich Victoria. Upon his release by Grimsby, he joined Halifax Town for three seasons from where he had loan spells with Northwich and Alfreton. Moved on to Altrincham where he made 108 appearances over 19 months before moving to York City in August 2010. Ended the 2010/2011 campaign back on loan at Altrincham for the last two months
