Daniel joined Alfreton on a youth loan on the March 2012 deadline day to the end of the season from Nottingham Forest. After he was released by Forest int he summer of 2012, Alfreton swooped to sign him up on a two-year contract on July 2nd.
He has quickly become a regular member of the midfield.
Newark-born Meadows, 19, had progressed through the ranks at the City Ground and signed a two-year apprenticeship with Forest in February 2009 progressing to play for both the youth team and Reserves for whom he has featured regularly and also captained.
He was the first winner of Forest's Apprentice of the Year award at the end of the 2010/11 season in recognition of his application and commitment in both matches and in training.
He is a pacy, attacking central midfield player with plenty of stamina and an excellent array of passing skills.
