Player Profiles - Jordan Sinnott

Alfreton Town confirmed the signing of central midfielder Jordan Sinnott in September 2018.

Sinnott signed a one year deal with the Reds with his most previous club being at neighbours Chesterfield.

Jordan, who plays as a central attacking midfielder, came through the Huddersfield Town academy and was rewarded with a professional contract.

He made his first appearance against Leicester City in the FA Cup Fourth Round in February 2013. His league debut came at Nottingham Forest as the Terriers lost 6-1 at the City Ground also in February 2013. Sinnott signed a new two year deal with Huddersfield before his contract was cancelled by mutual consent in 2015.

Jordan has also had loan spells at Altrincham and Bury during 2013 and following the cancellation of his contract with Huddersfield in 2015, Sinnott signed with Altrincham for a second time managed by his father, Lee Sinnott (who now manages Gainsborough Trinity).

A summer move to Halifax followed and Jordan played a pivotal role in the Shaymen’s promotion campaign in the 2016-17 season; scoring nine goals as Halifax earned promotion to the National League via the play-offs.

His outstanding performances earned him a move to then League Two Chesterfield on a two year deal in June 2017 but his appearances were limited and his contract was cancelled by mutual consent.
