Joined Alfreton Town on transfer window deadline day of August 31st, 2011. Andy arrived at the Impact Arena with a very good pedigree having come up through the successful Huddersfield Town Academy and playing 260 times for the West Yorkshire club. He is regarded as a versatile player with an excellent passing range allied to very good positional sense. He was awarded the 2007/08 supporters' player of the year with the Terriers with whom he also won a football league division three (now league two) play-off winners' medal in 2003/04.
Began as a right-back with Huddersfield but has played the majority of his games in midfield. He left the Terriers in 2009, joining Oldham Athletic on a two-year deal, leaving the Latics to join Morecambe in February 2011.
