Connor is now in his third successive season with the Reds and is highly-rated left-sided defender. He was part of the squad which successfully ensured their Conference Premier Division status in the 2011/12 season and  who had a string of consistent displays during Alfreton's 2010/11 Blue Square Bet North title-winning campaign, being rewarded with an England C cap during the International Challenge Trophy Final against Belgium in May.
Connor joined the Reds from Hinckley United on a two-year deal for an undisclosed four-figure fee. Had trials with both Burton Albion and Kidderminster Harriers in the summer of 2010 before moving to the Impact Arena.
A former Leicester City apprentice, Connor joined Hinckley in May 2008 from Nuneaton Borough where he won the Supporters' Player of the Season in his first campaign. A long throw expert, he is also versatile and has played central defence with his customary assuredness
